About My Service

Ryan Carter Massage Therapist and Bodyworker

Whole Body Integration

My therapeutic massages are conducted primarily using a method that I refer to as Dynamic Whole Body Integration. Through a combination of manual therapy techniques including stretching, jostling, fascial release, pressure point work, and dynamic joint articulative manipulation, I am able to provide a sense of deep relief that is often unachievable through more traditional or straightforward massage modalities.

Like Peeling an Onion

Blessed by a refined sense of touch, I am able to macronomically sense the layers of tension that overlap with one another in the body to generate the aches, pains and discomfort that we all experience. Palpating intuitively, I work to methodically peel away these tension layers, thereby enhancing postural integrity and creating a greater degree of joint alignment from head to toe.

Emphasis on the “Bodywork”

After many years of performing mostly “massage” oriented sessions, my sense of the body’s interconnectedness has led me into a style that lands more firmly on the “bodywork” end of the spectrum. While highly effective, my style is not for everyone.

Clients who desire nothing more than a very firm or deep Swedish-style massage (lots of muscle kneading/squeezing, for example) are typically not well-suited for my techniques. My sessions focus primarily on efficient remedial techniques that facilitate long-term relief. Instead of a spa-like experience, I offer manual therapy sessions that produce discernible therapeutic results.

"Not a traditional deep tissue massage but definitely healing, relaxing, and crave-worthy bodywork."
